Buried pipe ground source heat pump system, also known as ground coupled heat pump system or ground heat exchanger ground source heat pump, includes a ground coupled geothermal exchanger. It is either installed horizontally in the trench or vertically in the shaft in a U-shaped tube. The intermediate medium (usually water or water added with antifreeze) is used as the heat carrier to make the intermediate medium circulate in the closed loop of the soil coupled geothermal exchanger, so as to realize the purpose of heat exchange with the earth soil.

比较简单的方式是当室内负荷比较小，土壤换热器长度比较短，可以把与单回路管子随开挖土方施工直接埋入地下。

当室内负荷比较大，土壤换热器长度比较长，就需要考虑换热器的布置问题，常有的布置方式有以下两种。
